Orange & Gold Shosoin Floral Clutch

Description

This Shosoin patterned clutch was created from a mid to early Showa era obi.  It’s 100% silk with gold metallic thread and has the original obi lining. The “Shosoin pattern” widely refers to patterns seen in the Nara period that were influenced by Western Asia and China.

I’ve also created a sling bag from the same obi.

Approximate size: 10″x7″x2″ Size may vary slightly as each clutch is handmade.  Variation is no more than .25 inch.
